A major reason why a free internet business can thrive is its seamless character. The very first rule in marketing your business for success is preparing you, your mind and your attitude for the steps that it will take to get you to where you want to be in your business. Begin to think as though you are already a successful business professional. Watch how you act, dress, speak, and live at all times. Be professional in all aspects of your life. Carry business cards with you at all times and do not be afraid to hand them out. You never know when you will meet someone who will need your services or who knows someone who will need your services. Create a brochure which details your services and your prices, if appropriate, and include a few personal minutiae about yourself. This allows prospective clients to feel as if they know a little about you before using your business. Ask to put your pamphlet in other professional offices and businesses in your area. It is almost as if they are recommending you without a formal recommendation. Get to know some of the people in the business and professional organizations that you have joined so that you are comfortable asking if you can put your brochures in their business. Present to speak at community health fairs, medical events, the business organization's monthly meeting and any other place where there will be large groups of people to listen to you talk about your business and what you can do to help them. Call your local newspaper to see if they do "spotlight articles" on new businesses. Be sure to let them include a picture of you in your business. This allows potential clients/customers the opportunity to see what your business looks like before they visit you, which will make them less apprehensive about walking in to a new place that they have never been before. Forever understand that you are your best advertisement. Believe in yourself and your business at all times.
